Day 12 Red Square – Moscow
During breakfast there is a distinct excitement, "We’re going to the
Red Square", last minute negotiating with the Moscow police resulted
in
a police escort....
Can you believe it, 90 classic Volvos in one wave to the Red Square,
lots of public and press. We seem to float on air.
Things happen far too quickly and before we know it this is all over,
the grey weather didn’t matter at all, we’ve made it.....
Next day we can discover the nice areas of the city in a more tranquil
way, the Tomb of Lenin, the unknown soldier and the changing of the
guards, lots of very beautiful squares and museums.... yes Mockba is
nice !
In the evening we visited the famous Russian State Circus, the
surroundings are breathtaking.
Also nice is the Volvo reliability, no more technical problems all
cars
are running smoothly and the mechanics can sit back and relax, that
is
if there not hanging out in the discotheque until morning....
Also the bus tour, with a visit to the former Olympic Stadium is part
of our Moscow experience.... it’s over way too fast.
